How do I animate drawings on a video or photo?
Open Live strokes, upload a video or photo, or create a canvas. Draw with your mouse, choose a motion and set when each layer appears. Play and export. Drawing on top does not require subject separation.
Can I download a GIF?
Start with a photo or canvas to reveal Export GIF. It keeps your layers and their timing in a 6-second loop, up to 960 px and 20 fps, without audio. GIF uses up to 256 colors; choose video for more photo detail. Save your strokes before downloading: downloading clears the session.
What helps me draw with a mouse?
Adjustable smoothing, automatic line straightening, plus arrow, ellipse and rectangle tools. Hold Shift for circles, squares and 45-degree angles. Undo with Ctrl+Z.
What are the limits of Live strokes?
Up to 8 layers and 160 strokes, with a total point limit. JPG, PNG or WebP photos support 15 MB and 24 megapixels: they become a 6-second clip with a maximum 1920-pixel edge. Save editable strokes before downloading the video; downloading clears the session.
How do I edit a video in layers?
Upload a clip, choose Person or mark an Object, then select Separate layers. Change the background, adjust brightness or write behind the subject. Review and export.
Does editing reduce quality?
We keep the original resolution, up to 3840 × 2160, including portrait. Export re-encodes the video; it is not lossless. Edge detail depends on the selection.
Can I also improve resolution?
These are separate tools. Export here and select Send to 2× upscaler if the result is within Full HD and 250 MB. If transfer fails, download the video and upload it in the other tool.
Where are my files stored?
Editing happens in your browser. Only when switching tools is a temporary, one-use local copy stored, valid for 10 minutes. Ads are external and optional.
Can I replace a person with AI?
For now, Coqueta separates the subject and composes backgrounds, text and animated images. It does not generate new people or reconstruct hidden areas.
