Load an image or the real example
Open the compressor and choose your photo, or Try an example. The tool shows the source dimensions and file size so you can compare them with the result.
Input formats depend on browser decoding or the bundled decoders. If a file cannot be read, try a supported format; changing a filename extension does not convert it.
Choose a format for the job
JPG is useful for photos and broad compatibility, but cannot preserve transparency. PNG preserves transparency and is lossless, though a photo may remain large. WebP can offer smaller files with transparency.
To convert an AVIF photo for a service that needs JPG, select JPG output. If you need a transparent background, choose a compatible transparent format instead.
Reduce bytes without confusing them with pixels
For lossy JPG or WebP, lower the quality gradually and inspect the preview. Resize only if you do not need the original pixel dimensions. Both choices can affect visual detail.
A 50 MB input will not always reach the same small size: content, dimensions and format matter. Flat illustrations and detailed photographs compress differently.
Compare before downloading
Check the output’s actual bytes and dimensions, not just the quality slider. Zoom in on text, hair and fine edges. Choose a higher quality if artifacts become distracting.
The compressor reduces file size; it does not restore missing detail. If you want image enhancement afterward, download this copy and open it in the image upscaler. Keep your original.
